We here at Women On The Rise are faced with a lot of negativity and bad looks in a surprising number of situations. Mostly when we arrive in a new country and start talking up about gender inequality, or in other words stirring up trouble. Most of the the time we are faced with the same old arguments against what we’re doing. There are womens roles in a society and mens roles, and it’s a bad idea for one gender to start taking up roles of the other. So is that true?
One of the best ways how you can make sure that a particular country, region, or just a culture in general embraces gender equality is by educating younger generations. This obviously isn’t such a revolutionary statement, but it’s an important thing to be reminded when you think that the situation is hopeless and that true gender equality is just never going to happen. Iron is struck when it’s hot, and the same thing is true for us humans as well.
Women have always been in a worse position than men. The farther you go back in the past, in worse position the women were. For the better part of the world the situation for women is still not that great. One is left to wonder when gender inequality is part of the culture, part of the heritage of a particular country, is there hope for the things to get better?
